I was asked in a private forum, Social Network Million, that I am a member what kind of success that I had directly related to WA to which I answered the following (unedited): Ok, regarding Wealthy Affiliate (WA), I've been a member for two month now and I've been part time at this, so my success measured in terms of money won't impress anyone, Yet! I made a couple hundred bucks last month promoting a seasonal product and collected some email addresses etc.. However in terms of what I've learned over the past couple of months it's really significant. Here are some of the things that I got out of WA: - How to research profitable niches and markets. Some of the gurus, including Wade Winger of Google profits mention that only 1-2 out every 10 campaign will be successful. Travis shares his exact method that enables him to get 1 out of 2 campaigns successful. There are a couple of us in WA that followed the entire method from start to finish w/ positive results. I identified a couple of niches through that method and I believe one of them will be very lucrative. I am putting together a whole plan of attack for that nice. (if you join, you'll see my thread w/ the niches that I chose and why) These are some of the things of the top of my head that I got from it. There are other discussions about other topics, technologies, cloaking etc...But these are pretty easy for me as my background is Software Engineering. But for beginners that are resources there to help out, they have feeder site, RSS feeds etc... There are quite a few resources available, keywords tools, keeping an eye on the competition, clickbank refund calculator etc... One thing to note though, the strength of WA is in PPC marketing. They don't stop there, they take it to building your list and establishing an entire business, but the main focus is on PPCs, and article marketing. SEO, and Adsense though discussed at times are not that big in WA. Also, the emphasis is on putting in the hard work required to learn and succeed. No black hat techniques or short-term shortcuts are encouraged. If you want to play the Adwords game and are willing to put in the effort required WA is an excellent place. WA has a very homey feel to it. People there are generous w/ their time and knowlege, and there are quite a few successful people that really help out. Travis is the biggest example and he's extremly active on the forums. He makes in excess of $1500/day. (He stopped sharing w/ us what he makes on a daily basis ) You can post particulars of your own campaigns and get feedback from the entire group. I am not trying to promote WA to make a money off of you guys. It's just that my experience with them has been really good and I personally got a lot from it. It's possible that other membership sites out there are better, however, I can only speak about what I know. So It's up to you, but I can gurantee you, it's better than reading any eBook on the topic, and it's definitely value for money...big time.
